A faith-rooted healing ecosystem for Muslim women

You are not becoming someone new. You are returning.

A psychologically, emotionally and spiritually safe place for Muslim women who have spent so long surviving that they no longer recognise themselves.

She often asks herself

  • How did I get here?
  • Who have I become?
  • Why do I not recognise myself anymore?
  • Why do I keep shrinking myself?
  • Why do I abandon my own needs?
  • Why do I always perform strength?
  • Why do I feel invisible?
  • Why am I exhausted?

She longs for peace. She wants to reconnect with Allah. She wants to uncover the woman He created her to be.

Where to begin

You do not need to know what you need yet.

There is no assessment here, and nothing to work out first. Begin with whatever feels closest to where you are today.

  • A place to pause

I just need a moment to arrive.

  • A place to notice

I want to understand what I am feeling.

  • A place to be held

I want a safe place with other women.

  • A place for specialist support

I think I may need deeper support.

Safety comes before transformation.

Before healing can begin, a woman must first experience safety.

Psychological Safety

A place where her mind can rest, where she no longer has to brace herself.

Emotional Safety

A place where she no longer has to perform, explain or hide.

Spiritual Safety

A place where she can turn towards Allah without fear or shame.

  • You do not have to perform strength here.
  • You do not have to arrive with the right words.
  • You do not have to disclose anything before you are ready.
  • You will not be pushed towards therapy or coaching.
  • Your faith and your emotional truth are never in competition.

Our purpose

We believe the woman Allah created has never disappeared.

She has simply been hidden beneath years of surviving.

Ilubirin does not help women become someone new.

It helps them return to the woman Allah created them to be.

A woman arrives exhausted from survival. In her own time, she begins to:

  • Return to Allah.
  • Uncover the woman Allah created.
  • Reconnect with her voice.
  • Reconnect with her needs.
  • Reconnect with healthy boundaries.
  • Live from psychological, emotional and spiritual safety.
  • Move towards ṭumaʾnīnah.

The Ilubirin ecosystem

Places to return through, in any order

The RETURN™ Journey is how we understand healing. The ecosystem is simply where a woman can go. There is no ladder here and no correct starting point. Women enter at different depths, and from different places.

  • A place to pause

Nothing is asked of you here. You can simply be still, read something gentle, and let your shoulders drop before anything else is decided.

  • A place to notice

Gentle daily companionship and quiet reflections that help you name what has been carried, without analysing yourself or reaching a conclusion.

  • A place to be held

A guided space with other Muslim women, where safety comes first and no woman is asked to share before she is ready.

  • A place for specialist support

Some things are best held one to one. That support is offered separately from Ilubirin, by a specialist service with its own website.

Khafayah Counselling, a separate specialist service
